Dancing fool
A sticky-fingered nightclubber snatched a woman’s purse from a Fifth Avenue bar on Sept. 30.
The 23-year-old victim told cops she left her purse on a table at the popular neighborhood nightclub, which is between 79th and 80th streets, at around 3 am to use the restroom. When she returned just a few minutes later, someone had made off with her bag, which contained $80 and various debit and credit cards.
Bar fight
A patron of an 88th Street bar assaulted a bartender just before closing on Oct. 3.
The 54-year-old victim, who works at the establishment between Fourth and Fifth avenues, told cops he was mixing drinks at around 3:45 am when a man hit him in the face with a glass, cutting his upper lip.
Four burgs
At least four neighborhood homes were broken into last week:
• Someone burgled a house on 76th Street between Colonial Road and Narrows Avenue between Oct. 1 and 3.
The 69-year-old owner of the home told police that she left the house around 11 am and returned nearly 48 hours later to find a ransacked bedroom and $400 missing. Also gone was more than $600 in jewelry.
• Someone — possibly the same person — broke into a Narrows Avenue house on Oct. 1.
The 42-year-old homeowner told cops she left the house, which is between 72nd and 73rd streets, at around 5 pm. When she returned just three hours later, she discovered that $6,000 in electronics and jewelry from inside.
• A Marine Avenue home was hit by burglars on Oct. 3.
The 60-year-old victim told police she left her home, between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, at around 8 am. When she returned 10 hour later, $4,000 worth of electronics was gone.
• And a Fourth Avenue house was robbed on Oct. 3.
The victim, 58, said he left his home, which is at the corner of 85th Street, just before 7 pm. Seven hours later, he returned to find $800 worth of men’s jewelry was gone.
