Cheap hit
Police arrested a man who they say extorted $5 from a 54-year-old, and then beat him up, on Lafayette Avenue on Feb. 7.
The victim told cops he was between Grand and Classon avenues at 2:45 am when the suspect approached.
“You’re supposed to give me some money,” he allegedly said.
The victim gave the suspect $5, and was rewarded by a beat down, cops said.
Vanderbagged
A couple of crooks stole a man’s iPhone and wallet on Vanderbilt Avenue on Feb. 3.
The 24-year-old victim told cops he was at DeKalb Avenue at 10:35 pm when two goons pushed him to the ground and took his belongings.
Nightmare
An intruder robbed a sleeping tenant at her Gates Avenue apartment on Feb. 4.
The 24-year-old victim told cops that she fell asleep at her place at Classon Avenue at 3 am, waking up six hours later to find her iPhone missing from her nightstand and her laptop nowhere to be found.
No ride
A thief made off with a Nissan Altima — which can start with the push of a button — on Myrtle Avenue on Feb. 2.
The victim told cops she parked the car at Hall Street at 3 am, returning a half hour later to find it gone.
Hospital grab
A crook stole a wallet left at a DeKalb Avenue hospital sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 5.
The 41-year-old victim told cops she left her wallet in a desk drawer at the hospital at St. Felix Street on Jan. 31 at noon, and when she returned on Feb. 5 at 8:45 am, it was gone.
Purse pinch
A duo of evil doers tried to rob a woman on Vanderbilt Avenue on Feb. 8, but were foiled.
The 23-year-old woman told cops she was standing at Park Avenue at 1 pm when two men took her pocketbook and knocked her to the ground — but the victim managed to recover her belongings.
Creepy crook
A thief burglarized an apartment on Clinton Avenue on Feb. 9 — while the tenant was at home.
The 27-year-old victim said he was at his home between Willoughby and DeKalb avenues between 2:30 and 3 pm, in which time a crook crept in and walked out with his Playstation games and fancy headset.
The heist
A crook made away with more than $20,000 worth of stuff from Clermont Avenue home on Feb. 4.
The 65-year-old victim told cops she left her daughter and a friend at her home near Flushing Avenue at 5 pm, returning later that day to find $12,000 and some expensive jewelry gone.
Unattended bag
Someone stole a woman’s bag from a building on Willoughby Avenue on Feb. 10.
The 23-year-old victim told cops she left her bag in the building between Emerson Place and Hall Street at 3 pm, returning an hour later to find it gone.
