Dozens of skateboarers and skateboard aficionados converged on Bedford Avenue between North 11th and Berry streets recently to celebrate in a new tradition — Skate Day.
Free-wheeling tricksters showed off their latest moves to their friends while chatting up a bevy of board beauties.
But it wasn’t just for the older, more seasoned skateboarders.
Organizers also opened the streets up to kids showing them the rules of the road when it comes to safe skateboarding.
