Benched!

Benched!

Now this is gnarly!

Some hucker made off with the multi-colored snowboard bench that’s been greeting shoppers outside the 4 Play Brooklyn clothing boutique on Seventh Avenue for eight years.

Thieving poachers grabbed the bench outside the store, which is near 11th Street, as a worker was preoccupied inside just before the shop closed for the night on Tuesday.

The bench is typically the last thing the worker takes inside when she closes.

“One of our employees goes outside after [finishing up] and it’s gone,” said store owner Laura Kleinman.

The surprised worker immediately searched the area, but turned up nothing, cops said.

Kleinman believes that at least two people must have made off with the board bench, which cost her $500.

“They must have thrown it in a van,” she surmised. “It’s pretty heavy.”

Kleinman installed two snowboard benches when she opened her youth clothing store in 2001. They quickly became popular with non-shoppers, too.

“People would come by and sit on the bench for most of the day,” she said. “People actually enjoyed having lunch there.

“It was a staple in the neighborhood and now its gone,” she added.
