Big−hearted warriors stepped up the battle to combat autism during a benefit run in Bay Ridge for Autism Awareness Month.
The 5K run, organized by Harbor Fitness, drew a large crowd of participants to the Bay Ridge branch of the health club, 9214 4th Avenue, where they put their best foot forward to benefit HeartShare Human Services’s autism programs.
The day also featured an array of family−friendly activities, including face−painting and a Pee Wee warm−up and run for the kids as well as fire safety demonstrations and other crowd−pleasers.
In addition to the run, Harbor Fitness also raised money for the cause by presenting benefit classes, such as Live Drumming, Yoga, The Comrad Workout and Jump Rope Circuit.
