Cops are looking for a jerk who they say stabbed a 52-year-old man in Clinton Hill, steps from the childhood home of rapper Notorious BIG.
The suspect shanked the guy with an unknown object on Dec. 4 at 2:50 am near the intersection of Fulton Street and Saint James Place, police said. That corner is only four doors down the stately townhouse from where the legendary song-smith grew up, inspiring rhymes like “Was considered a thief until I started hustling on Fulton Street.”
Surveillance tape captured an image of the supposed stab-happy assailant who is still out walking around, according to detective Mark Nell.
Street crime is less common in today’s Clinton Hill of today than it was for Christopher Wallace, who was gunned down at age 24. He once described his family’s apartment as a one-room shack, but earlier this year the building went on the market for $725,000.
Police ask anyone with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-8477.
