Blaze rips through Nostrand Avenue hi-rise.

A firefighter searches for victims in a Nostrand Avenue apartment near Avenue S after a small blaze ripped its way through the building.

No major injuries were reported in the blaze, which was sparked on the night of August 9.

Witnesses said the entire floor was evacuated.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation as this paper went to press.
