Block closed for partying on E. 23

Fun in the sun was on the menu Saturday as residents of East 23rd Street between Ditmas and Newkirk avenues gathered together to bid farewell to another exciting summer season.

Cars were removed from the block and replaced with bike lanes for neighborhood road warriors.

But the day wasn’t about exercise. Rather, it was about bonding, as families sat together and enjoyed each others’ company on their beautiful block, as well as some tasty ice cold treats.
