Body Sculpt of New York helps address Bklyn’s health disparities with exercise initiative

Body Sculpt of New York has answered the call from the New York City Department of Health to address health disparities in African-American, Latino, Asian, and low-income communities at the Good Health Brooklyn Health Initiative, October 24 from 12-4 p.m. at Bartel Pritchard Square in Prospect Park.

Body Sculpt will provide professional fitness instructors, who will conduct free clinics in aerobics, Afro-Caribbean dance, jump rope, volleyball, fencing, and tennis to adults and children.

Good Health Brooklyn is a borough wide annual health initiative, which uses faith-based organizations as the primary conduit for conducting health promotion and disease prevention awareness.

Good Health Brooklyn events take place now through October 24 and highlight neighborhoods with the greatest disease burden.
