Booking brawl
A police officer suffered a minor injury when an arrested man head-butted her during a failed escape attempt outside Brooklyn Central Booking.
Officials said that the cop was bringing James Johnson to a psychiatric evaluation at the Atlantic Avenue prison at 2:50 a.m. on December 11 when the 41-year-old suspect allegedly attacked.
The only thing Johnson was successful in doing, however, was leaving the officer with a cut lip and a sore jaw.
Cops charged Johnson with assault in the second degree and obstructing governmental administration. Those charges will be tacked onto the other crimes that brought him to Brooklyn Central Booking in the first place, officials said.
