Cabbage combat
A bozo bashed a man with a bag of garbage on 20th Avenue on March 29.
The man was perusing the aisles of a bodega between 85th and 86th streets at 4:30 pm when the pair bumped into each other and began arguing about the Korean veggie dish kimchi, according to a police report.
Clearly unsatisfied with the man’s feelings about the fermented vegetables, the veggie villain grabbed a nearby garbage bag and smashed the man in the face, causing cuts and bleeding, said officials.
Emergency responders removed the 62-year-old victim to Maimonides Hospital, authorities said.
Where’s my car door?
A goon ran off with a car door from a vehicle on Avenue S on April 2.
The car’s owner told police he parked his ride between W. Third and Van Sicklen streets the evening of April 1. But when he arrived at 8 pm the next day, he discovered a lock on the driver’s-side door busted, a missing center console, and the acutal passenger’s-side door completely gone, according to a police report.
Teacher to the rescue
A teacher tackled a thief running off with a woman’s cellphone on Kings Highway on April 5.
The baddie came up behind the woman and snatched her phone while she was talking on it near Bay Parkway at 12:30 pm, said police. The woman gave chase, but tripped and fell. Luckily, a teacher stopped the man and retrieved her phone, authorities said.
Police impersonators
Two hucksters pulled a man’s car over on Ridge Parkway on March 27 pretending to be police, and robbed him.
The victim told police he was driving home between 19th and 20th avenues at 4 am when he was pulled over by two men claiming to be officers. The louts forced him from his car and pushed him into the lobby of an apartment building where they snatched $66 from his pockets, according to a police report. The pair released the victim and said he would receive a desk appearance ticket in the mail two weeks later for the incident, authorities said.
The victim reported the robbery on April 6 after he returned home from vacation, said police.
Three on one
Three teenagers mugged a woman on Bay 31st Street on April 3.
The woman told police she was walking between Benson and Bath avenues at 7:30 pm when the three kids began following her. One of the cads punched her in the face and snatched her purse with the help of his buddies, said police.
The nogoodniks high-tailed it out of there before police could arrive, officials said.
