Brooklyn Politics

He may have touted himself as being the only Brooklynite in the race for Comptroller, but City Councilman David Yassky held his election night party in another borough — at the Arena Restaurant in Manhattan.

Yassky spokesperson Danny Kanner said the candidate’s thinking behind the move was that it is closer to most of themedia crews, perhaps forgetting that media outlets in his own borough (you remember, David, the guys who helped put you on the map)would have to travel further to interview him on election night.

Public Advocate candidate Bill de Blasio stayed true to his Brooklyn roots and held his primary night party at the Water Street Bar in DUMBO.
