Gone to pot

A goon smashed a man over the head with a flower pot on Oceanview Avenue near Highland Avenue on May 2.

The victim told police that he has been feuding with a buddy who owes him money. He received a text at 1 am to go out into the hallway of his apartment building where his friend was waiting for him with two other men, according to a police report. Once the victim entered the hallway the ruffians attacked, and his “friend” smashed a large flower pot over his head, said officials. The bruisers threatened to return later that day before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was treated at Coney Island Hospital where he received three staples to his head and stitches to his right hand, authorities said.

Knife fight

Police arrested a drunk woman for slicing a man’s ear with a knife at an Avenue W barbecue on April 30.

The woman had a couple of drinks at the lawn barbecue between Stillwell Avenue and W. 11th street at 2:30 am, when she began arguing with a man over her cellphone, according to a police report. The tipsy woman stumbled into her friend’s apartment, where she grabbed a knife and attacked the man, authorities said.

The victim was treated at Maimonides Hospital where he received six stitches to his left ear, police said.

Organ donor

Police arrested a man for cutting a guy’s chest open with medical scissors on W. 21st Street on May 2.

A man entered his apartment between Mermaid and Surf avenues at noon to use the bathroom, where he discovered the suspect cutting into the guy’s chest with medical scissors, according to a police report.

The witness booked it out of there and called police, officials said.

Shooting

A brute pulled out a gun and shot a man at point-blank range on Avenue W on May 4.

A witness told police that he was watching the two men between Stillwell Avenue and W. 11th Street at 11 am when one pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the other man. The witness fled the scene and alerted police, who canvassed the area and found four spent shell casings, officials said.

Jewelry box raid

A burglar busted into a woman’s Ocean Parkway apartment and made off with $6,500 worth of jewelry and cash on May 6, said police.

The woman told police that she returned to her apartment between Neptune and W. Brighton avenues with her fiancé at 1 am and discovered the door was no longer locked. Once inside, the pair noticed that jewelry and cash had been taken, according to a police report.

The point of entry appears to be the balcony window that is adjoined with the neighboring apartment, police noted.
