A massive brush fire blazed for several hours in Marine Park on May 5, according to the fire department.
Flames erupted near the Marine Park Golf Course on Flatbush Avenue at 3:26 pm. The fire continued raging until after 5:30 pm but a spokesman for the fire department said it was contained. The weather conditions could have fueled the fire, he said.
