Robbed of cash
Two bullies took a delivery man’s cash as he was trying to deliver food on Kent Avenue.
The victim was nearing N. Third Street at 1:30 am, when the thugs approached him and one threatened: “If you don’t give up the money, I’ll hurt you.”
The victim gave up $300 and the goons fled.
Bank heist
A bank robber tried to stickup an HSBC branch on Bedford Avenue on June 27.
The robber entered the bank, which is near N. Fourth Street, at 11:34 am, and handed the teller a note, which read: “I have a gun, I want $100 and $50, no ink, to teller.”
But the teller hit the alarm and the robber fled toward N. Third Street.
Phone snatch
A thief stole a woman’s phone on Bedford Avenue on June 27 — but was caught a short time later.
The woman was nearing Metropolitan Avenue at 11:00 am, when the perp approached her from behind and snatched the phone.
She chased after him for a block before a witness stopped the perp and fought him until police arrested the thief.
Hit from behind
Two perps beat up a man at Graham Avenue before stealing his phone on June 30.
The victim was nearing Withers Street from the L train at 1:20 pm, when two perps approached him from behind.
One punched the man in his neck, knocking him to the ground, and another took his phone before they both ran away.
Glass bust
A thug smashed a beer glass over a man’s head inside a Union Avenue bar on June 30 — and was soon arrested.
The victim and the thug were drinking together at Union Pool near Meeker Avenue at 2:40 am, when a fight broke out over a girl.
The thug grabbed the glass, smashed his friend’s head and ran out of the bar — but was soon arrested.
Cane beating
A man struck another man in the face with his cane on Richardson Street on June 30.
The victim was standing in front of his home, which is near Humboldt Street, at 2 pm, when the suspect walked by and asked him if he was “waiting on a cement truck.” The cane-wielding suspect then hit him in his head and shuffled away, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
Sound city
A thief made off with musical equipment from a N. Sixth Street store on July 2.
The owner left his studio business, which is near Berry Street, at 4 pm, but when he returned at 6 pm the next day, he found the bathroom wall was damaged and the stuff was gone.
Car thefts
There were several vehicles stolen and item stolen from within cars. Here’s what happened:
• A thief stole a bag and some cash from a car parked on Roebling Street on June 29.
The driver parked his car near N. Ninth Street at 7:15 pm, but when he returned at two hours later, he saw his right rear window was broken and his bag was gone.
• A thief stole a phone and wallet from a car parked on N. Fifth Street on July 2.
The driver parked his car near Wythe Avenue at 9:30 pm, but when he returned two hours later, he saw his car was unlocked and his wallet gone.
• A thief stole a bag and wallet from a car parked at N. 12th Street on July 2.
The driver parked her car near Wythe Avenue at 11:30 pm, but when she returned at 4 am, she noticed the bag was gone from her trunk.
• A thief stole a motorcycle parked on Wythe Avenue on June 28.
The owner parked his chopper near N. Third Street at 2 am, but when he returned at 10:30 am, he saw it was missing.
• A thief stole a Ford truck parked on Frost Street on June 29.
The driver parked his car near Meeker Avenue at 10:32 am, but when he returned half an hour later, he saw it was gone.
• A thief took an Acura parked on Leonard Street on June 29.
The driver parked his car near Skillman Street at 11 pm, but when he returned at 8:30 am the next day, he saw it was missing.
