A lock-picking larcenist broke into an 18th Avenue residence and stole jewelry, electronics, and $2,500 in cash on July 1, police stated.

The burglar busted into the home between 72nd and 73rd streets in Bensonhurst at 10:30 am and grabbed the goods before the resident came home later that day, officers said.

The victim told police that he only locked the front doorknob, which could be easily opened with a credit card, a report states.

Honeymoon is over

A man who had been living with his girlfriend for a week broke her phone and punched her in the face during an argument at their Bay 17th Street apartment on July 2, according to police.

The two were in their apartment between Cropsey Avenue and Shore Parkway at 6:30 pm when the man shattered his sweetheart’s cellphone by taking it from her and throwing it to the ground, according to a report.

He left in a fit, but came back through the victim’s bedroom window, locked the door, and socked her when she tried to leave, law enforcement officials said.

Mother and son

Police arrested a 25-year-old man who they say beat up his 64-year-old mother in their Bay 19th Street home on July 6.

The victim said the two became embroiled in an argument in the home between Cropsey Avenue and Shore Parkway at 3:20 pm.

The suspect grabbed his mother by the throat, threw her to the ground, and kicked her in the stomach, cops reported.

Telephone tag team

Two bullies put a teen in a headlock and stole his phone while he was sitting in a park at the corner of 71st Street and New Utrecht Avenue on July 1, officers recounted.

The teen reported he was minding his own business at 2:23 pm when one goon put him in a headlock and the other grabbed for his phone.

The second tough guy threatened to hit the victim if he didn’t loosen his grasp, police said.

The pair pried the device from his hands and fled onto a Manhattan-bound D Train at 71st Street and New Utrecht Avenue, per cops.
