Groper grabbed
A 22-year-old Bensonhurst man was arrested on Oct. 2 when he was connected to two area sex assaults, according to cops.
Police claim that Federico Chamorro Yax, of 65th Street near 16th Avenue, jumped two young women near 56th Street in Borough Park during a 3 am sexual assault.
During the ensuing struggle, Yax allegedly knocked both women to the ground and groped them, but the women fought back, scratching him before he fled.
Following a brief investigation, cops arrested Yax, charging him with the Oct. 2 attack, as well as a similar sex assault on Sept. 4 near his home on 65th Street. In that attack, a 30-year-old woman was groped, police said.

The woman grabbed her bag, but the thief pulled her hair and ripped her shirt until she gave the item up. The thief was last seen running down Avenue W with the bag, which contained $300 and a pair of eyeglasses.

Too wired
A greedy wire thief hit the mother lode on Sept. 30 — an electrical supply wholesaler on Ocean Avenue — and tried to make off with some copper wire.
Cops say they were called to Manor Electric Supply, which is between Avenues X and W — at which point they caught the 54-year-old thief and a 59-year-old accomplice loading up a van with more than $500 worth of copper wire.
Police say the two men had made repeated trips from the store to the van before they were taken into custody.

Amber Jack jacked
A 17-year-old broke into the Amber Jack party boat docked off of Emmons Avenue on Sept. 26 — all so he could score a pack of cigarettes, according to cops.
Police say they nabbed the teen shortly after he forced open the hatch to the boat near E. 19th Street at 2:20 pm, while several members of the crew were still onboard.
