A Gravesend fisherman had a whale of a tale to tell his angler friends Monday when the remnants of last weekend’s noreaster caused his 26-foot Grady White boat to capsize.
Joseph Dell’Arena said that when he motored off from Gerritsen Beach on the morning of November 16 he wasn’t expecting 15-foot waves off of Breezy Point.
NYPD Aviation scuba divers found the capsized boat and brought Dell’Arena to shore suffering from minor injuries.
The overturned boat was later towed to Gerritsen Beach for safekeeping.
