The Carroll Park Concert Series continues August 6 with Uncle Rock, a singer-songwriter, actor, teacher, former globe-trotting bassist, and erstwhile stay-at-home dad, Robert Burke Warren.
Before the concert, there will be face painting by Gail of Hearts Face Painting and Balloon Art and T-shirts designed by Ted Meyer available for decorating, as well as food and drinks provided by Moxie Spot, so plan to arrive with a bit of pocket money. A nominal donation, if possible, is requested to help cover costs. All proceeds benefit The Committee to Improve Carroll Park.
Uncle Rock is an interactive, joyous, adult-friendly musical experience. His “Rock Of All Ages” songs, featured on three critically acclaimed CDs, draw inspiration from Maurice Sendak, Woody Guthrie, Shel Silverstein and the Beatles, to name a few. He’s also a featured artist on Sirius Satellite Radio’s channel 116 Kids Stuff.
