Saved by the bell
Two teenaged cat burglars tried to break into a Park Place apartment on Dec. 14, but they set off the alarm and were collared on the roof.
The pint-sized pair tried to open the rear window of the apartment, which is at the corner of Underhill Avenue, setting off the alarm at 7:15 pm. When the police got to the scene, the officers climbed to the roof and bagged the cowering criminals.
Relieved residents posting on Brooklynian.com said that the teens had pulled a bunch of rooftop jobs in the past few weeks.
Vanderbilt jump

The thugs caught the 14-year-old from behind at the corner of Dean Street around 4 pm, punching him in the back and face.
Laptop haul
A burglar broke into a Prospect Place apartment on Dec. 10 and made off with two laptops.
The crook robbed the place, which is at the corner of Underhill Avenue, sometime between 8:15 am and 10:10 pm, breaking in through a window facing the fire escape. The unfortunate tenant, who was at work, is now missing a silver Dell and a black ThinkPad. Police wouldn’t say if the burglary was the work of the teen robbers who were nabbed around the corner.
