The Boom-A-Ring isn’t the only circus in town.
Members of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus were found in Columbus Park recently to perform for a lunchtime crowd hungry for entertainment.
Surprised park-goers looking for some noontime sun found stilt-walkers, clowns, jugglers, plate-spinners, wire-walkers and sword-swallowers all over the park located at the corner of Court and Joralemon Streets looking to captivate and astound the senses.
The circus was brought to Columbus Park by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, the Court-Livingston-Schermerhorn Business Improvement District (BID) and Borough President Marty Markowitz.
The groups hope that various programming like the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will help transform the park into a vibrant, engaging public space much like Union Square Park and Bryant Park.
