Police are looking for a pair of female home invaders who stole $600 from an elderly Brighton Beach man’s apartment near Brighton Beach and Coney Island avenues on Jan. 8.

Two young women knocked on the 79-year-old man’s door at 3 pm and told the him they worked for Con-Edison and needed to see his utility bill, police said. The elderly man closed his door and went searching for a recent bill in his bedroom, and the women crept in behind him, according to police. The man’s search came up empty, so he walked back to the front door, catching the pair of intruders in his home, law enforcement sources said. The victim yelled at the women to get out of his house, and they fled, police said. Then the victim noticed his wallet lying open on the table — emptied of cash, a police report states.

Police describe one suspect as a woman with black hair in her 20s standing 5-feet-5 and weighing about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark jacket and a pink winter hat with a green pompom. A description of the second suspect is not available, officials said.
