63rd Precinct

Marine Park—Mill Basin—Flatlands—Bergen Beach

Shopping spree

Police arrested a woman who they say attempted to steal various items from a Kings Plaza store on July 8 — and then swung at two other women who tried to stop her.

The victims told police they witnessed the suspect take eight articles of clothing — among other items — from the store near Avenue U at 9:30 pm, and attempted to leave without paying for them.

The two victims said they tried to stop the alleged thief, but the suspect hit one woman in the face and the other on the body, resulting in lacerations on both women.

The suspect dropped the items at the scene before fleeing.

Bottlecaps

Police took a man into custody for hitting a woman over the head with a beer bottle on Preston Court on July 8.

The victim said the man hit her with the bottle near Foster Avenue at 12:02 am, causing substantial bruising and a laceration to the head.

Group stickup

Police arrested a man and are searching for two others who allegedly robbed another man at gunpoint on E. 52nd Street on July 7.

The victim told police he was near Avenue U at 11:15 am when the suspect and two other men approached him, and one of the men put a gun against the victim’s leg and told him to give them everything in his pocket. The victim said he gave the three men his wallet, car keys, cellphone and $20 in cash before the men fled.
