Uneasy rider
A pushy freeloader climbed onto the back of a guy’s electric scooter as he was driving down the street, police said.
The victim told police that he was on his electric scooter on N. Seventh Street near Bedford Avenue at 10:07 pm on April 13 when a man started badgering him for a ride.
“Let me get a ride,” he said, according to a report.
The victim said no, but the cad put his hand in his pocket like he had a gun and then jumped on. He rode for about a block and then jumped off and ran away, cops said.
Teamwork
A gang of toughs orchestrated a slick robbery against a man in the street, creating a diversion while an accomplice purloined his phone, a report said.
The victim told police that he was walking at the corner of Conselyea and Leonard streets at 10 pm on April 12 when four guys came up behind him and distracted him. A second later, another man rode up on a bicycle and grabbed the victim’s cell phone out of his hand, before they all ran off, police said.
Candid camera
A woman captured video of a man breaking into her house, cops said.
The victim told police that someone broke into her apartment at Humboldt Street near McGuinness Boulevard between 7:38 pm on April 12 and 2:36 pm the next day. The burglar broke and swiped a Kindle, jewelry, and clothing. She gave the video to police, authorities said.
Foul shot
A charlatan tricked a needy basketball fan into purchasing fake Nets tickets, police said.
The victim told authorities that he went to the corner of Jackson Street and Graham Avenue at 2 pm on July 3 in 2013 to meet the swindler, who sold him what he thought was a season pass to see the Brooklyn Nets for $11,500. The pass turned out to be fake, cops said. The victim did not report the rip-off until April 19, police said.
