Cops are having an L of a time finding a suspected subway pickpocket, and now they are asking for the public’s help.
The man, who police describe as 6’2”, and about 250 pounds, allegedly snagged a wallet out of a woman’s purse as they rode on the L train towards the Lorimer Street station at 7:30 pm on Aug. 9. The suspect got off the train at Lorimer Street and, once he was gone, another rider told the woman that the man had pinched her pocketbook, cops said.
A few minutes later, the robber went to a Rite Aid Pharmacy on Pitkin Avenue, near the Sutter Avenue L stop, and used the woman’s credit card, according to police.
