Police are hoping that surveillance video of a teenager who they say set fire to some bushes in front of a home in Marine Park on Dec. 21 will spark the memory of neighbors who can identify the firebug.

Authorities say the suspect surreptitiously set fire to the bushes while he was walking past the home on Avenue O and E. 56th Street at 3 pm. Police say there were no injuries.

Authorities describe the suspect as 5-foot-8 and weighing 150 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
