Police are searching for the serial bandit who they suspect committed a string of burglaries in Bensonhurst and Bath Beach over the past several weeks.
The baddie started his crime spree in September and broke into no less than nine homes before his most recent caper on Nov. 7, according to cops, who said the incidents included:
• A Sept. 28 break-in, when the suspect snuck into an 18th Avenue home at 79th Street through a window at 7 am, and ransacked the place before fleeing empty-handed.
• An Oct. 13 burglary, when the thief broke into a Bath Avenue home at 25th Avenue through a rear basement window around 10 am, and stole $16,000 worth of jewelry and cash from inside.
• An Oct. 15 incident, when the scoundrel crept into a Benson Avenue home at Bay 35th Street at 2:30 pm through a rear window, and ran off with $36,000 worth of jewelry and cash.
• An Oct. 19 robbery, when the crook stole $700 worth of jewelry from inside a Highlawn Avenue home at W. Seventh Street that he illegally entered at noon through a rear window.
• A second Oct. 19 break-in, when the perp snuck into a Bath Avenue home at 25th Avenue — different from the one he robbed six days earlier — through a rear window at 8:15 pm, but didn’t take anything.
• An Oct. 23 burglary, when the man forced his way into a 15th Avenue home at 76th Street through a rear window around 8 am, and made off with $600 worth of jewelry and cash.
• An Oct. 25 incident, when the creep stole $117,000 worth of jewelry and cash from a safe inside a 19th Avenue home at 72nd Street that he broke into through a rear window at 9:30 am.
• A Nov. 2 robbery, when the suspect stole $3,000 worth of clothing from a 67th Street home at 17th Avenue around 8 am.
• A Nov. 7 swipe, when the guy crept into a 19th Avenue home at 66th Street through a front window at 1:40 pm, and stole $1,000 in cash.
Authorities described the man as between 20- and 30-years old, adding that he was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a black long-sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.
