Box thief
A man was arrested for allegedly stealing another man’s mailbox outside his Glenwood Road home on Nov. 2 — the day after it had been installed.
The victim told police that he installed his stainless-steel mailbox at his home between E. 82nd and E. 83rd streets at around noon, but noticed it was missing the next day at 11:30 am. Cops later arrested a suspect who they say was in possession of the victim’s box.
Beat down
Police arrested three men who they say beat and robbed a man on E. 101st Street on Nov. 1.
The victim told police that he was between Avenues M and N at 9:05 pm when the suspects launched a brutal, three-way attack, slugging the poor man repeatedly before making off with his jacket, cash, and Chinese food.
Strangler
A man was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman on E. 86th Street on Nov. 1.
The victim told police that she was between Foster Avenue and Farragut Road at 11:45 am when the suspect began shoving her, and then grabbed her throat in one hand and applied pressure until she felt lightheaded.
