A near evasion
Police arrested a 42-year-old man for urinating on a police department-affiliated building on W. Sixth Street and, when confronted, attempting to run away on June 16.
According to police, an officer saw the defendant urinate on the building near the intersection of W. Sixth Avenue and Shell Road at 3:10 pm. When the officer approached the man, he pushed the officer and tried to get away.
Police said when more officers tried to arrest him, he resisted by kicking his legs and flailing his arms, actually cutting the arm of the arresting officer.
The defendant is being charged with assault, official misconduct, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, harassment, and littering.
