Three unwanted houseguests raided a 20th Avenue apartment on March 16, but were later arrested for beating and robbing the tenant.
The group kicked in the front door at around noon and entering the apartment, which is near 84th Street. Without warning, one pulled out the black pistol and proceeded to hit the victim with the handle, while another perp searched his pockets and swiped his wallet — and the $1,500 in it.
The group fled in a white Toyota Camry, but were later arrested, cops said.
Biking bandit
A bike-peddling punk swiped the purse off a woman’s shoulder as she was walking on 81st Street on March 15.
The 48-year-old woman was near 15th Avenue at around 3 pm when the perp stole her pocketbook, which contained $400, and credit and debit cards, before biking down 15th Avenue, police said.
Toy swipe
In the latest collision of a stroller and a quick-moving perp, a mother’s pocketbook was stolen right off her baby stroller while she shopped at a crowded Bay Parkway toy store on March 15.
The 32-year-old was in the toy store, which is near Cropsey Avenue, at around 11 am. She stepped away from the stroller for a couple of minutes, and when she returned her purse, which contained $50 and her credit and debit cards was gone, police said.
Home invasion
A man returned to his apartment on Duryea Court near 66th Street to find a busted bedroom window, a ransacked flat and missing jewelry and cash.
The 46-year-old returned at around 1 pm on March 15 to discover an open front door and that $3,000 in cash and jewelry had been taken, police said.
Granny heist
An elderly woman’s purse was snatched as she was walking into a Cropsey Avenue pharmacy to fill her prescriptions on March 14.
Just after the 72-year-old entered the drug store, which is near Bay 40th Street, at around 10:50 am, the perp sneaked up behind her, grabbed her purse, and tossed the victim to the ground.
Bodega gunman
At least two grocery store owners had cash and property stolen by a lone gunman last week.
The first incident was on March 13 at an 18th Avenue convenience store, near 63rd Street. At around 5:30 am, the gunmen entered the store, brandished his pistol and told the cashier, “I’ll kill you if you don’t give me the money.”
The second incident was four days later at a 20th Avenue grocery store, near 65th Street. This time, the gunman ran into the store at around 9 pm, pointed the gun at owner and demanded the cash. The owner handed over $3,000 from the register, and watched as the thug fled the scene, police said.
