Wiped clean

A crook swiped a man’s fresh sack of laundry that was left in front of his First Street apartment on June 28.

The 38-year-old victim, who lives between Seventh and Eighth avenues, told cops that his laundry delivery service dropped off the large bag of clean clothes worth more than $1,000 in front of his apartment door at 5 pm. About three hours later his wife realized that the laundry bag was missing.

The perp got away with seven pairs of men’s underwear, seven pairs of women’s underwear, four bloomers, a pair of pants, 13 shirts, two leggings, two bras, two pairs of pajamas, seven pairs of socks, two dresses, three shorts, nine towels, 10 washcloths, and one bath mat.

Expensive loss

A bandit jacked a man’s brand-new $50,000 car that he left parked on Saint Marks Place sometime between June 30 and July 2.

The 37-year-old man told police that he left his blue 2013 BMW on the street near Fourth Avenue on June 30 at 7 pm, and when he returned two days later at 7 pm his pricey ride was missing.

Transit crime

A thief swiped a Metropolitan Transportation Authority employee’s bag while he was working inside the Atlantic Avenue terminal on July 7.

The 48-year-old light maintainer told police that he entered the electrical distribution room located in the lower mezzanine of the station and placed his bag down at 10 am, leaving the room unlocked.

When he returned 30 minutes later he discovered that his blue backpack holding his cellphone, eyeglasses, 30 transit keys, screwdrivers, work helmet, and other tools, was missing.

Motorcycle theft

A perp stole a man’s motorcycle that he parked on Seventh Street sometime between July 2 and July 3.

The 33-year-old man told cops that he left his white two-wheeler on the street near Eighth Avenue at 7 pm on July 2 and when he returned the next day at 2 pm, his ride was missing.

Looted

A bandit burglarized a woman’s Ninth Street home and made off with some pricey valuables on July 5.

The 34-year-old woman told police that she left her residence between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 1:30 pm. When she came back about eight hours later she noticed that her laptop, Nikon digital camera, and two camera lenses were missing. The woman said that she may have left the back door open, according to cops.

Car break in

A criminal smashed the window of a car parked on Flatbush Avenue and made off with a bunch of goods and $760 on the July 4.

The 52-year-old woman told cops that she left her tan Toyota on the street near Ocean Avenue at 7:30 am and when she returned just 45 minutes later she found the rear passenger-side window broken. The crook made off with the woman’s cash, her purse, wallet, credit and debit cards, and cellphone.

Grab bag

A sly crook snagged a woman’s wallet from her bag while she was inside a Seventh Avenue supermarket on July 3.

The 57-year-old woman told police that she noticed her wallet, containing $500, her debit and credit cards, and driver’s license, was missing at 7:10 pm when she went to go pay for the items she picked up at the grocery store between 12th and 13th streets. The woman said that she last saw her wallet 10 minutes prior when she put it in her bag inside her Vanderbilt Street home, according to cops.

Shortly after, the woman received a call from her bank stating that the thief attempted to make purchases with her cards at an Atlantic Avenue department store nearby.

Computer heist

A crook stole a MacBook Pro from an employee at a Butler Street waffle business on July 2.

The victim told cops that the perp swiped the laptop from the business office of the establishment between near Third Avenue at 7:30 am.

The baseball cap-wearing miscreant was caught on surveillance video taking the computer and fleeing the scene.
