Williamsburg-based
clothing company Brooklyn Industries will open its fifth store
on March 1 in Boerum Hill. The new 2,000-square-foot boutique,
on Smith Street at the corner of Atlantic Avenue, will carry
a wide selection of bags, limited-edition T-shirts (such as the
100-percent cotton, crown bedecked tee, $26, shown right) and
embroidered Brooklyn hoodies. The company, created by artistic
duo Vahap and Lexy Funk in 1996 with the launch of their chic
messenger bags, makes clothing and accessories for men, women
and kids.
Beginning Tuesday, March 1, the Boerum Hill store will be open
Mondays through Saturdays, from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays, from
