NYC & Company, the official marketing, tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York, has named the Wildlife Conservation Society’s (WCS) New York Aquarium the Culture Spot for July.
New York City’s aquarium, and a proponent of the preservation of Earth’s ecosystems, the Coney Island–based institution will celebrate this honor by offering visitors $2 off any Aquarium-only admission ticket or $3 off any Aquarium/Deep Sea 3D combo ticket.
Coupons are available throughout July at a variety of locations and online at www.nycvisit.com/culturespot.
The Aquarium’s diverse exhibits feature more than 8,000 animals from all over the globe — including species from the Arctic and the shores of Africa to the local waters of the Hudson River. Pacific walruses at Sea Cliffs, jellyfish at the Alien Stingers exhibit and daily sea lion demonstrations at the Aquatheater offer a look at just some of the creatures visitors can explore at the Aquarium, which is open 365 days a year.
The New York Aquarium is at 602 Surf Avenue (Surf Avenue and West Eighth Street) in Brooklyn. For information, call 718-265-FISH (3474) or visit www.nyaquarium.com.
