A man who recently sued the city on allegations that cops had sodomized him with a police radio ended up in the hospital once again following an attack on Willoughby Street.
Officials said that tattoo artist Michael Mineo was outside a Willoughby Street building near Gallatin Place at 2:30 p.m. on July 24 when he got into an argument with 41-year-old George Alejandro.
According to police, Alejandro allegedly pulled a silver pocket knife and charged at Mineo, leaving him with a deep cut to his forearm that required stitches.
Mineo was treated at a local hospital.
According to published reports, Alejandro may have recognized Mineo from the widespread media attention sparked by the alleged police assault and the lawsuit he and his attorneys filed.
Alejandro’s attorney refuted the claims, telling reporters that his client didn’t know Mineo. He also claimed that Mineo was cut with a bottle, not a knife.
