Cuts for kids

During these tumultuous economic times, many adults try to pamper away their stress. But do kids need the same treatment?

If so, there’s Dimples Kids Spa, which opened on Monday at 91 Montague St. in Brooklyn Heights — a salon for tykes who want some pampering (and for parents willing to indulge them).

Kids’ haircuts cost $20, manicures and pedicures are $10, and a strawberry-honey facial is $15.

Those aren’t Great Depression prices, but spa owner Daria Einhorn touted her super-sensitive beauty products (some are safe enough to eat!) and the need to let kids be kids.

“I think our prices are affordable,” she said. “But this is purely a ‘decorative’ service. It’s for fun.”

Some Heights residents were more skeptical.

“[Spa treatments] are kind of self-indulgent for a child,” said Matthew Rooney.

Another longtime resident questioned whether “this neighborhood has enough disposable income to make a business out of a treat.”

We’ll see.

Dimples Kids Spa (91 Montague St., near Hicks Street) is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. For information, call (718) 330-0000.
