Kind of blue
A bike-riding bandit plowed into a woman on Dean Street on Jan. 17 and stole her purse and phone.
The victim told police she was walking home near Smith Street at 8:35 pm when a rascal rode a Citi Bike from the street onto the sidewalk, knocking her to the ground.
The punk then snatched her pocketbook, which contained her keys, and phone from her hand and fled, police said.
Unfare
Some brute smashed a cab driver’s face in over the price of his ride on Fourth Avenue on Jan. 18.
The bruised up cabbie said he was driving some guy around in his livery cab and was about to drop him off on Atlantic Avenue at 3:30 am when they got in an argument over the fare.
The passenger asked the driver to give him his money back and then repeatedly punched him in the face, causing bruising and swelling, he told police. The ogre got out with his loot and hailed a green cab, disappearing into the dawn, stated a police report.
Pushy
A brute injured a 71-year-old woman by pushing her to the ground on Livingston Street on Jan. 19.
The victim told police she was strolling near Smith Street when a worm came up and shoved her, causing her to fall and injure to her frail left hip and arm. She went to Brooklyn Hospital for further evaluation, according to a report.
No entry
A ruffian mugged a guy as he was trying to get through the turnstile at the Hoyt Street subway stop on Jan. 19.
The victim told authorities he entered the station near Fulton Street at 2:35 pm and attempted to swipe his MetroCard to access the platform. But when his card failed, a bulky man came up from behind and punched him in the face, then accused the victim of owing him money, cops said.
The victim suffered a cracked eye socket, bleeding, swelling, and bruising in the beating, according to police.
