One hit was all the Renegades needed to knock off the Cyclones 1-0.

The Cyclones lineup — who came into the night scoring 17 runs in the team’s last four games — fell completely silent, mustering just five hits and striking out a whopping 13 times.

The Mini-Mets’s pitching was excellent, but one mistake by reliever Casey Hauptman made all the difference in the eighth: Renegade right fielder Chris Winder took Hauptman’s offering just inside the left field foul pole for a home run.

The Cyclones only posed a threat to the Renegades in the second, when first baseman Luke Stewart doubled and third baseman Brian Harrison took first on a hit by pitch, putting runners on first and second with nobody out. But that’s where they would stay — three consecutive Cyclones hitters struck out swinging.

The Cyclones return home vs. the Staten Island Yankees at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th Street in Coney Island, (718) 449-8497] on July 3, 6 pm. For info, visit www.brooklyncyclones.com.
