Delivery crime
Someone held up a restaurant delivery man at knifepoint in front of a Marine Avenue home on Aug. 2.
The 34-year-old victim was dropping off food at a 96th Street house at around 12:45 pm when the suspect approached him, pulled out a knife and snarled, “Give me your money,” cops said.
Instead of waiting for the victim to comply with his threat, the thug reached into the man’s back pocket and grabbed $150 before fleeing in a dark blue minivan.
Jumped
Thugs attacked a 40-year-old man from behind as he walked across 62nd Street on Aug. 3.
The victim had just parked his car at the corner of 11th Avenue at around 2 am and was walking toward his house when the suspects came up from behind, held him down and stole more than $2,000 out of his wallet before fleeing on bicycles.
Double duty
Two Ridge Boulevard neighbors had their apartments broken into on the same day last week.
The first victim, a 51-year-old man, told cops he left his third-floor apartment at around 5 am. When he returned home from work just after 3 pm, his place had been ransacked and he was missing two digital cameras, some cash and a carton of cigarettes.
The second victim, a 30-year-old woman who lives next door in the 69th street building, told cops she left for work around 7 am. When she got home 12 hours later, she noticed that someone had opened her unlocked front door and trashed the inside of her apartment.
But nothing was missing from inside.
More burgs
Two other homes were burgled in the neighborhood last week in similar incidents.
In the first case, someone broke into a 63rd Street home on July 30.
The 65-year-old owner of the home, which is between 10th and 11th avenues, told cops she left her house at around 8 pm. When she returned 24 hours later, she discovered that someone had broken one of the back windows and grabbed $150 from inside.
Then, the next day, someone broke into a Fifth Avenue house.
The 22-year-old victim told cops that he was gone from his home, which is at 68th street, between noon and 11:30 pm.
While he was out, someone had broken through his rear bedroom window, climbed in and took over $5,000 of electronics.
Glass pains
A group of thugs jumped a 26-year-old man as he walked down 73rd Street on Aug. 3.
The victim was walking toward Third Avenue to his car at around 4 am when the six men walked up to him and started attacking him, cops said. The suspects hit the victim in the arms and face with a glass bottle before hopping into a black pickup truck and driving away.
