Gun-totin’ neighbor
An ongoing dispute between two Lincoln Place men led one of the angry neighbors to pull out a gun and shoot up his rival’s Honda on Aug. 9.
The car owner, who lives between Classon and Washington Avenues, said he heard five gunshots hit his blue Honda sometime between 3 and 5 am — and he also confessed that he’s been having a dispute with the building owner next door.
Light in eyes
A man with sensitive ears (or, perhaps, eyes) took matters into his own hands at a Vanderbilt Avenue restaurant on Aug. 4.
The owner of the eatery, which is between Sterling and Park places, told police that the man entered at 7 pm, pushed past the owner, and tried to destroy a generator that was powering some lighting equipment.
The man told the restaurateur that the lighting was disturbing him — though it is unclear whether the light or sound was the cause of his fury.
Hell hath no
A crowbar-wielding ex-girlfriend had some fun with her former boyfriend’s car at St Johns Place on Aug. 5.
The 30-year-old ex saw her former boyfriend hanging out on the street between Classon and Washington avenues at 10 pm, got jealous, and took a crowbar to his windshield, passenger-side windows, and both side-view mirrors of his red Ford.
Nothing mends a broken heart, or satisfy its bearer, like shattered glass.
Park and damage
A driver who parked her car on Underhill Avenue at around 7:30 am on Aug. 7 returned to find it all smashed up.
The 31-year old victim told cops that she returned to the spot, between St Marks and Prospect places, four hours later and discovered that someone had slammed into her vehicle.
But it was a hit and run, as the offending vehicle was nowhere to be found.
