The Bridge Cleaners & Tailorskicked off their annual Coats For Kids drive for the 25th year.The mission of Coats For Kids is simple- anyone in need of a coat will have one. Bridge Cleaners & Tailors, a downtown fixture, is accepting gently used, warm kid, adult and baby sized winter coats now through January 31.Coats collected will be donated to Brooklyn Bureau of Community Services.
You can drop of your coat donations at Bridge Cleaners & Tailors at 204 Livingston Street; Sid’s Hardware, 345 Jay Street; MetroTech BID, 4 MetroTech Center, Ground Floor during business hours, CLS BID Holiday Welcome Center on Hoyt Plaza, corner of Schermerhorn Street; and the Fulton St Holiday Center at Modell’s, 464 Fulton Street.
Since the program began in 1984, Bridge Cleaners & Tailor’s has collected, cleaned free of charge and distributed thousands of gently worn winter coats to men, women and children who would otherwise be without one. The program receives invaluable support from collection, promotional, supporting and distribution partners as well as individuals.
