A motorist lost control on the Prospect Expressway on April 8, shredding his Toyota Camry and severely injuring his passenger, according to a police source.
The driver was headed west-bound in his silver sedan at around 5:30 pm when he smashed into a divider as he neared the Forth Avenue exit, shearing the front passenger-side tire from the vehicle and sending the car into a 180-degree spin that left it facing traffic before it ground to a halt, sources said.
The driver walked away from the accident with only minor injuries, but his passenger wasn’t so lucky, and had to be rushed to Methodist Hospital for treatment to serious injuries, according to police.
