This wasn’t a break-in. This was a well thought-out operation.
Cops are looking for the daredevil who repelled down the side of a 101st Street building on April 9 so he could break into a court officer’s apartment, where two guns, two knives and $80,000 were swiped.
There’s no fire escape on the building, so whoever broke into the home between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway lowered himself down to the kitchen window — commando-style. The thief’s sneaker prints were found on the outside windowsill, which was forced open.
The 59-year-old court officer said that he returned home early that morning to find that the only thing missing was a safe, which contained a .38-caliber pistol, a Ruger SP101, two hunting knives, $80,000 and a watch.

A thief with expensive tastes broke into a 72nd Street home on April 5, removing $20,000, a 42-inch flat-screen TV and an assortment of jewelry.
The thief entered the apartment through a rear bedroom window that he had forced open after 8 pm, taking the above-mentioned goods, plus a laptop computer, from the home, located between Fort Hamilton Parkway and 10th Avenue.

An 81-year-old man exited his 100th Street home on April 5 to learn that someone had swiped his car tires — while the vehicle was sitting in his driveway!
Cops said that the sneaky steal took place sometime after 11 pm on Easter Sunday between Fourth Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway.
The thieves took both the tires and the rims — a crime that will set back the victim $1,600 in replacement costs.

A thief stole $1,500 out of a car parked at the Staples store on Fifth Avenue on April 5.
The owner of the 2009 Mercedes Benz said that she had left the store which is near 93rd Street at about 2:30 pm to find that someone had bashed in her driver’s-side rear window and taken the cash.

A thief broke into an 83rd Street home on April 8 taking only a watch band.
The 52-year-old homeowner said that someone sneaked into his abode between Dyker Place and Seventh Avenue sometime after 7:45 am after forcing open a kitchen window.
Both the basement and an upstairs bedroom were ransacked, but the only thing taken was a gold watch band worth $1,000, he said.
