Driving down costs

The installation of a Residential Parking Permit (RPP) program in Brooklyn should certainly assist in bringing the high cost of auto insurance down in Brooklyn by providing thousands of new customers to the auto insurance companies.

This program would also increase New York State income because RPP would require that all Brooklyn owned autos be registered in New York, with New York State license plates, in order to qualify for the RPP program.

New York registration requires liability insurance and proper accident insurance, further protecting local residents. The thousands of out of state cars parked in our neighborhoods registered, often fraudulently, in other states offer us little, or no, protection

Not only will RPP help our environment, but it will also help the New York State pocketbook by adding thousands of additional dollars in car registration fees.
