East 42nd Street has block party fever

Mom, dad and the kids bonded with neighbors over simple pleasures as Flatbush sizzled with block party fever.

Residents of East 42nd Street, between Church and Snyder avenues, soaked in equal parts sun and fun at the annual frolic, which featured fun-filled attractions and spectacles for the young and the young-at-heart.

The day of community camaraderie netted new friendships whole cementing old ones over potluck barbecues, sports contests and good ol’ chitchat.
