FDNY fire marshals are investigating the cause of a fast-moving, two-alarm fire that broke out Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn.

Firefighters from Tower Ladder 157 and Engine Company 255 arrived at 1460 Troy Ave. shortly before 3 p.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the basement of a two-story brick attached private dwelling.

The fire extended to the first and second floors, prompting Battalion 41 to transmit a second alarm. One resident suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.

At the height of the blaze, more than 100 firefighters worked aggressively from inside the building to knock down the main body of fire. Searches throughout the dwelling were negative. The fire was brought under control at 3:49 p.m.
