They raised the roof!
The historic Eastern Parkway Library in Crown Heights re-opened on April 4 after seven months of renovations that resulted in a new roof and a more welcoming interior.
Tots from PS 532 were on hand for the occasion, enjoying a special story time with Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo (D–Crown Heights) and the branch’s new shelves, furniture, computers, lighting, and paint job.
The library, on Eastern Parkway at Buffalo Avenue, opened in 1914 and is one of 18 handsome buildings industrialist Andrew Carnegie bequeathed the borough in the early 20th century.
