The woman got scared and ran into her bedroom, at which point the brute broke the door and grabbed her purse, police said.
When she tried to grab it back from him, he pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the chest and arm, authorities said. The jerk ran out with the woman’s purse with her debit card, driver’s license, makeup, and cash inside, police said.

Phantom jewelry swiper
A good-for-nothing broke into a woman’s E. 29th Street house sometime between April 2 and 5 and stole a bunch of jewelry, according to authorities.
The woman told police she left her home at Avenue P on April 2 at 10 pm and returned three days later at 8 pm to find her engagement ring, pearl necklace, gold necklace, and diamond bracelet missing, police said.
There was no visible forced entry, a police report states.
Caught in the act
A nogoodnik tried to break into a guy’s Ocean Parkway home on April 10 but was scared off before he could steal anything, according to authorities.
The guy told police the jerk tried to get into his home at Ocean Court at 2:48 pm by breaking through the backdoor. But the homeowner’s daughter heard it and told her father, who then went outside to confront the lawbreaker, police said.
The scaredy-cat then drove off in a black car with another guy, police said.
Big bully
A punk stole a 12-year-old boy’s iPhone while he was playing basketball in an E. 17th Street park on April 10, according to authorities.
The kid’s sister told police the wretch came up to her brother at the park near Avenue S at 6 pm and asked for his phone. But when the boy refused, saying his phone was dead, the jerk said, “Don’t make it hard, I have a gun,” so the tween handed over his iPhone, police said.
The reprobate fled on a dark-colored BMX bicycle, according to a police report.
