The St. Anselm Workforce Ministry, together with Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, held a resume development workshop for members of the Bay Ridge Community who are looking for jobs or are desiring a career change.
The 34 participants learned techniques of resume writing and then had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a career counselor for resume review. Reverend Monsignor John Maloney, the pastor of St. Anselm, offered the opening prayer, and Brother Robert Duffy, director of Faith Formation for St. Anselm, provided an array of books on workplace spirituality from the St. Anselm Parish Library.
This is the second event this year hosted by the Workforce Ministry Committee. Additional events are being planned for spring 2010.
