Manhattan-bound F service was disrupted on Wednesday evening after a woman jumped in front of a train at the Seventh Avenue station in an apparent suicide attempt.

The 34-year-old survived the usually fatal leap because the train had slowed significantly as it entered the station at 5:30 pm. She ended up under the train, but suffered only a few deep cuts, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Service was halted for 40 minutes as paramedics pulled the woman from the tracks and rushed her to Kings County Hospital in Crown Heights for treatment.

In the interim, F trains were re-routed to the D line between Stillwell Avenue and lower Manhattan.

The G train was also affected: Service was suspended both ways between Bedford and Nostrand avenues and Church Avenue until everything was cleared up, according to the MTA.
