Three gun-toting criminals impersonated cops late on March 3, invading a woman’s home and making off with $30,000 in cash and valuables.
The men trailed the woman as she returned from a nearby bodega at around 11 pm, pushing their way into her South Second Street apartment when she opened the door, cops say.
“I’m NYPD,” one of them said. “Wanna see my badge?”
Once inside, all three men revealed handguns and demanded that the woman turn over her money and jewelry. She complied, and the men fled from the apartment, which is between Havemeyer Street and Marcy Avenue.
Carjacked!
A man pulled a driver out of his a car and drove off with it on March 5.
The driver told cops that he was near the corner of Whipple Street and Throop Avenue at around 7 pm when the thief approached and placed a hand on the waistband of his pants.
“Get of out of the car,” he said.
The victim got out of the 1993 van, the thief got in and drove away, cops say.
Cash only
A thief broke into a Grand Street restaurant on March 4 and made off with nearly $5,000.
The burglar entered the Italian eatery, between Lorimer and Leonard streets, overnight..
Apple grapples
Criminals had a taste for apples this week, snatching at least four iPods and iPhones:
• Five pugilists threw a man to the ground on the corner of Scholes and Lorimer streets on March 6 at 6:15 pm, punching him until he turned over his video iPod.
• A crook mugged a man on the corner of Driggs Avenue and Grand Street at around 6 pm on March 8, taking his iPod Nano and a cellphone, cops say.
• A two-timing criminal asked a passerby for help on the corner of Maujer Street and Graham Avenue on March 8 around 11 pm, but when the Good Samaritan offered assistance, the man pulled a knife and said, “Give me what you got. Don’t do anything because I got a knife.” The criminal then reached into the victim’s pockets and snatched an iPod and $14, cops say.
• A 1980s-loving thug in an 8-ball jacket wrestled an iPhone from a woman on March 9. As the victim strolled past the corner of Roebling Street and Metropolitan Avenue after noon, the thug pounced, snatching the much-craved cellphone, cops say.
Gunnamed
Two thugs introduced a man to an acquaintance named “Feefee” — which turned out to be their gun!
The muggers approached the man at around 3 pm on Kent Avenue, between South Sixth Street and Broadway as he returned from work.
“You know Feefee? You know Feefee?” one of the men asked. Feefee turned out to be a handgun — and once she made her dramatic entrance, the victim handed over $100.
The muggers ran off.
Burglarized
A burglar went to work inside a Graham Avenue apartment while its tenant was at her job on March 4.
The 37-year-old resident of the apartment, between Withers and Jackson streets, returned from work at 8 pm and immediately noticed that the rear bedroom door was slightly ajar.
Someone had apparently sneaked in and stolen her 35mm camera, a lens, a Panasonic digital camera, two pairs of gold earring, and a iPod.
